Committee Hears Cowboy Hall Of Fame Proposal

The Montana House State Administration committee considered moving the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame back to Wolf Point during a hearing on Friday, Feb. 14. House Bill 402 sponsor Frank Smith, D-Wolf Point, explained the history of the Cowboy Hall of Fame during the meeting. Smith said he was approached by county commissioners about 20 years ago regarding that Wolf Point needed a tourism destination.

Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 80 calls from Feb. 10-17. Feb. 10 Deputies assisted Culbertson ambulance and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office on a call regarding finding a deceased person across the Missouri River. A male was found faced down near a fishing hole after apparently shooting himself. Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice
