Ken Gregoy Clampitt, 65, of Wolf Point died March 8, 2025. He was born Oct. 3, 1959, to Frank and Joan Clampitt. He was a very mischievous, loving child. He was always taking things apart to see how they were made. He kept his parents on their toes and his siblings’ childhood full of adventure. He attended school in Frazer and obtained his G.E.D. He attended Fort Peck Community College and graduated in 2008 with a truck driving and heavy equipment degree. z He was a BIA firefighter for 19 years. As a crew boss, he took crews out and fought fire in every state in the western half of the U.S. He was also sent to Texas to help with the recovery of the space shuttle Columbia in 2003. He worked for many farmers and ranchers, including Butch Andresen. He held many different jobs in his lifetime: in construction, as a cook, A& S Industries and in security. One of his favorite jobs was when he worked for Head Start. His latest job was as a custodian for the Wolf Point Schools, a job he held for 10-plus years and retired from in 2023. He was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching all his nieces, nephews and grandkids in all their endeavors; whether it be sports or academics. He truly treasured all his family and friends and loved family gatherings. He was one of the most generous caring people. He would always help out whenever he could. He would give his last dollar or the shirt off his back if he thought it would help. He loved animals and also loved his coffee and visiting sessions. He is survived by his sister, Joan Todd; numerous grandchildren; and adopted brother, Tyrus. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Charles; grandchildren, Brayden and Callie; and his adopted brothers, Simon and Big Erv. Funeral services were held Friday, March 14, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Burial was at King Memorial Cemetery in Wolf Point. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements.

Myrna Youngman Charbonneau, 94, of Poplar died March 5, 2025, at the Faith Home in Wolf Point. She was born in Poplar on Oct. 20, 1930, to Louis and Mary (Eagleman) Youngman. She was baptized to the Catholic Church on Dec. 25, 1930, at just two months old, in which she proudly held and practiced her faith throughout her life. She attended school in Portland, Ore., graduating from Immaculate Academy in Portland in 1949, after which she attended NAES/ Fort Peck Community College in Poplar. Throughout her years of work, she worked various jobs. While in Reno, Nev., she worked at the United States Post Office before returning to Poplar. After returning home, she worked for the Fort Peck Tribal Head Start program as assistant director and health coordinator, director of the Tribal Elders program and administrative secretary for West Electronics. She also worked at the Tribal Voc Rehab program as transition coordinator. She volunteered many years as a board member for West Electronics, Fort Peck Sioux Council as secretary, Fort Peck Tribal Museum and served on the Montana State Board of Tribal Elders. She was also a certified home health aide and worked at Poplar Community Hospital, where she also volunteered for the ambulance service with her sister Faye. After retiring, she enjoyed her time spent at her home in Poplar where she was able to spend time with her close family including her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved having visitors, was an avid reader and loved her daily crosswords. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Velma Keever, Janet Spencer, Lewis Youngman, Warren Youngman, Arlene “Faye” Peterson and Agnes Turnbull; daughter, Gail Charboneau-Dupree; and four grandchildren. Surviving family include her sons, Craig and Jon Charboneau; daughters, Debra Bruner, Michelle Trottier, Jeanette Charboneau, Marci Charbonneau, Darci Martin and Marguerite Charboneau; as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her funeral mass was held Monday, March 17, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar. Burial was at the Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel assisted with the arrangements.
