The Bureau of Land Management Montana-Dakotas State Office has opened a 30day public scoping period to receive public input on 29 oil and gas parcels totaling 9,102 acres that may be included in a September 2025 lease sale in Montana and North Dakota. Bainville Defeats Froid/Lake Squads During District 2C Play

The Bainville Bulldogs posted two home basketball victories over Froid/Lake during league action on Saturday, Feb. 8. Bainville’s girls enjoyed a strong start and defeated Froid/Lake by a 38-29 final. The Bulldogs gained a 12-6 advantage in the first quarter and increased the gap to 2510 at the half. Attorney General Austin Knudsen announced last week an updated Sexual and Violent Offender Registry that will provide Montanans with additional information on the whereabouts of offenders in their area. Brockton’s boys’ basketball team stepped up in the second half to edge Culbertson, 64-55, at home on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Cowboys trailed 19-16 at the end of the first quarter, but the score was deadlocked at 30-30 at the half. Brockton scored 16 points in the third period for a 4641 advantage. The Warriors then accounted for 18 points in the fourth period to earn the conference victory.
