Wolf Point High School senior Mersadies Sutton finds pleasure in barrel racing and art projects.

Sutton has been barrel racing since she was 10 years old. Often, she competes in events held in Tennessee during the summer.

“I like meeting people and seeing all the horses,” she explained.

Highlights have included placing third at some barrel races.

“I’m kind of an animal person,” Sutton said. In school, her favorite class is art. She especially likes her pottery bowl projects.

Sutton and fellow senior Joclynn Williams are heading the underpass project where students will paint at Wolf Point’s underpass once the weather becomes warmer.

Sutton says her favorite teacher is Vivian Schultz.

“She’s a vibe to be around,” Sutton explained.

After high school, her plan is to join the U.S. Army.

“I don’t have my career path planned yet,” she said.
