The state Department of Corrections confirmed to Montana Free Press Wednesday that Montana State Prison Warden Jim Salmonsen, who was on leave from his position for 47 days starting Jan. 14, reassumed his role on March 3. The department has not released a public announcement of Salmonsen’s return. Department spokesperson Carolynn Stocker declined to comment on the reasons for Salmonsen’s leave

LCHS had the privilege of having Dan Hubbard speak at daily chapels last week in Spiritual Emphasis Week. He came from Minnesota to spend the week with the students. Awana Awards night was March 19. Commander Dawson Olfert said they had two goals this year as a club. 1) Scripture Memorization on a deeper level, so they included a versathon. 2,615 verses was the final total recited by students

The Montana Department of Justice reports that Connor Manternach has been sentenced to 60 years at the Montana State Prison with 20 years suspended and a 15-year parole restriction. He made a guilty plea to one count of sexual intercourse without consent with a minor.
