Outdoor Flea Market Planned In Brockton

The organizers behind a successful outdoor flea market in Brockton are at it again this year with an event planned during the Badlands Celebration weekend June 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location is the parking lot behind the B& S Quickstop. There will be vendors, rummage sale tables, baked goods and crafts. There will be a breakfast sale of biscuits and gravy beginning at 8 a.m.

Blue Team Wins All-Star Game

Four players from Culbertson helped the Blue team come from behind to edge the Red team, 28-23, in the Bob Cleverley 8-man all-star football game in Butte on Saturday, May 31. Mark Kirkaldie, Reese Moon, Bridger Salvevold and Gavin Deen were selected to represent Culbertson in the contest. Salvevold accounted for the go-ahead touchdown on a quarterback keeper run with 25 seconds remaining.

Public Can Still Provide Input On Deer Management

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is developing a new Statewide Mule Deer Management Plan and recently held public workshops around the state to hear from the public. FWP still wants to hear from people who care about mule deer management but were unable to attend a workshop. Those folks can go to FWP’s website and leave a comment here. FWP will be taking public feedback through June 27.

John David Panasuk will spend time in a recovery center after admitting to violating his parole conditions again. Panasuk admitted to three probation violations during a district court hearing in April. Based on a joint agreement, the state and defense recommended that Panasuk attend an in-person treatment center in Columbia Falls and that his 15-year suspended sentence be reimposed. Defense
