Lustre Girls Split In Road Contests

Lustre’s girls’ basketball team split its two road contests during the past weekend.

The Lions downed Manhattan Christian, 38-34, during action on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Lustre took an 11-5 lead in the first quarter and then increased the margin to 22-14 in the second period. Lauryn Holzrichter scored seven points in the second period.

After leading 32-23 at the end of the third quarter, Lustre won by a four-point margin.

Holzrichter led the Lions with 14 points.

Also scoring were Harlo Reddig with six, Samantha Neufeld with six, Sidney Klatt with four, Lauren Fast with four and Hannah Brown with four.

The Lions lost at Three Forks, 50-24, on Friday, Dec. 12.

The Lions trailed 31-12 at the half and were outscored 11-0 in the third quarter.

Scoring seven points each for Lustre were Holzrichter and Klatt.

Rounding out the scoring were Reddig with five, Neufeld with three and Ashtyn Traeholt with two.
