Bell Participates In Variety Of Activities

Wolf Point High School senior Tavian Bell has been involved in activities ranging from football to dramatic plays during his time in high school, He was an actor in two plays for his freshman, sophomore and junior years. This fall, he performed the role of Phoebus in “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” In addition, he is looking forward to the spring production of “Robin Hood,” this spring.
His favorite role was being Mortimer Brewster in “Arsenic and Old Lace,” during his freshman year.
“Everybody had fun,” Bell said of the play. “I had a good role.”
Sports have included football and track. He is currently serving as the wrestling team’s manager because an ankle injury prevents him from competing.
Bell’s events in track include the pole vault, 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. He has been participating in the pole vault since he was a freshman, and it’s his favorite track event.
“It’s fun,” he explained. “You get to throw yourself in the air.”
His personal best is 9-0 in the pole vault. A goal is to qualify for the state meet as a senior.
During football season, he plays strong safety and wide receiver for the Wolves. A highlight of the year was intercepting a pass in Colstrip.
He explains that he likes the defensive side of the ball better because there’s more things for him to do as a strong safety.
Bell feels spending time in the school’s new weight room helped him prepare for the football season.
In the classroom, his favorite class is drama because of the plays.
Bell’s favorite teacher is Jacob Boysun. “He’s funny,” Bell said.
After high school, Bell’s plans is to attend Montana State University in Billings and steady to become a radiology technician. He became interested in the field during tests on his injured ankle. “I was fascinated by how it works,” Bell said.
