Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 101 calls from Dec. 1-8.

The calls included the following: Dec. 1

Deputies assisted with a child custody exchange per court orders in Poplar.

Deputies responded to the Poplar city limits where an adult male reported that someone attempted to steal his son’s vehicle.

Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice on Highway 2 near Oswego on the report of two relatives fighting in a house. FPTDLJ arrested an adult male on a probation violation.

Dec. 2

A deputy noticed a vehicle of a suspect parked in Culbertson. Charissa Boast, 32, Medicine Lake, was arrested on authority of a warrant.

Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of an assault. An adult female allegedly entered a residence through a window and then kicked someone in the shoulder. The suspect couldn’t be located. A request was made to obtain a warrant from tribal prosecutors.

Dec. 3

Deputies received a report of a running vehicle in a Culbertson parking lot that had a passed out person. Kurt Flynn, 38, was arrested on authority of a warrant from Valley County.

Dec. 4

Deputies received a report from the Culbertson area from a person who hit the a guard rail while driving. The Montana Highway Patrol was notified.

Deputies received a report of a vicious dog in Culbertson that needed to be put down. On the request of the owner, deputies were able to put the dog down.

Dec. 6

A report was received of a male laying in the snow in Poplar. He told deputies he was fine but confused. Poplar ambulance transported him to the hospital. Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department and FPTDLJ in Wolf Point’s city limits with the arrest of Dezmond Taylor, 24, He was reported to be intoxicated and having a knife.

In addition, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city, nine; Wolf Point FPHA areas, two; Poplar city, 10; Poplar rural, five; Poplar FPHA airport addition, one; Poplar FPHA, all other, six; Culbertson town, nine; Culbertson rural, 11; Bainville town, one; Bainville rural, 11; Froid rural, five; Brockton town, two; Brockton rural, 21; Fort Kipp, six; Stateline Club, one; total, 101.
