Cowboys Drop Contests In Miles City

The Culbertson Cowboys dropped two games during action at the season-opening basketball tournament in Miles City.

The Cowboys fell short against Harlowton/Ryegate/ Judith Gap, 37-34, on Saturday, Dec. 6.

Culbertson trailed 23-16 at the half and by a 29-22 margin after three quarters of play. Seven points by Cal Steppler and six points by Ian Snyder led the Cowboys’ comeback attack in the fourth period.

Culbertson’s top scorers were Steppler with 17 and Snyder with 12.

Also scoring were Plenny Williams with four and Cord Snyder with two.

Broadus outscored the Cowboys, 54-35, on Friday, Dec. 5.

Top scorers for the Cowboys were Williams with 14 and I. Snyder with 13.

Also scoring were Maurico Mena with four, Steppler with two and C. Snyder with two.
