Bearcubs Defeat Opponents

Frazer’s girls’ basketball squad opened its season with a 53-32 victory over Two Eagle River on Friday, Dec. 5.

The Bearcubs jumped out to a 15-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 22-12 at the half.

Frazer then struck for 18 points in the third quarter for a 40-25 margin.

BriAnna Beston led Frazer’s attack with 23 points. Cassidy Mail also reached double figures with 14 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Isabelle Fourstar with eight, Elli Mail with four and Bethany Hotomanie with four points.

Frazer’s boys fell by a 72-37 final against Heart Butte.

The Warriors led 19-11 at the end of the first quarter and 36-18 at intermission. Heart Butte then scored 20 points in the third quarter for a 56-23 lead.

During action on Saturday, Dec. 6, Frazer’s boys dropped their game against Northern Cheyenne by a 74-52 final.

Frazer’s girls improved their record to 2-0 with a 62-21 victory over Northern Cheyenne.
