Wolves Fall Against Glasgow Squad
The volleyball season for the Wolf Point Wolves came to a close as the Wolves lost to Glasgow in loser-out play at the District 2B tournament in Wolf Point on Friday, Oct. 31. Glasgow took a 25-22, 2516, 20-25, 25-12 victory.
The Wolves battled back after trailing early in the first set as kills by Anna Matejovsky closed the gap to 18-16.
With the score even at 2020, Glasgow gained the lead on a kill by Joely Chappell and an ace by Kolbi Ross. The Wolves kept battling on kills by Ma’Kenzie Jackson before losing by the 25-22 final.
After dropping the second set by a 25-16 margin, the Wolves took a 13-7 lead in the third set on the net play of Jackson and serving of Matejovsky.
Kills by Lauren Rodenberg and Jackson increased the lead to 20-13.
Glasgow came as close as 23-20, but the Wolves ended the third set with a kill by Rodenberg and an ace by Marley Moran.
In the fourth set, the Scotties led 22-9, but the Wolves came a point closer on a kill by Adalynn Smith.
Trailing by a 24-11 margin, Wolf Point scored on a kill by Jackson. Glasgow won the set, 25-12, on a kill by Chappell.
