Lions Compete At Tourney

The Lustre Lions had a promising start to their season at the Culbertson volleyball invitational on Saturday, Aug. 30.

After dropping matches against Culbertson and Fairview in pool play, the Lions bounced back with a straight set victory over Nashua.

The Lions trailed 13-12 in the first set, but Lustre responded with a 25-22 victory.

Lustre then gained control for a 25-8 win in the second set.

The Lions lost to Class B Fairview, 14-25, 11-25, in the next round.

Fairview went on to down Savage in the tournament’s championship match.
