TEB Approves General Election Dates
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held their regular full board meeting July 14 in Poplar.
The board approved the Branch of Corrections’ request to approved a bid from Communication Resources for a Verkada Access Control System, $66,676; infrastructure, $28,687; and labor, $123,345; for a total cost of $218,708.
Funeral leave with pay was approved for all temporary and seasonal workers for the Fort Peck Tribes.
The board approved CFO Randy Redpath’s contract extension from June 30 until the CFO position is filled.
A contract with RJS was extended for one year, with a 5 percent increase of pay.
The board authorized the Fort Peck Tribes to help fund the Fort Peck College Achieve with $15,000.
The board issued a proclamation stating that a general election is to be held on Oct. 25 and issues notice that the close of voter registration is at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 10.
The Language and Culture Department was approved to apply for and accept the Liewellyn Foundation Grant for $25,000.
The board approved the CFO’s recommendation to centralize all health programs financial staff of the Fort Peck Tribes into one centralized location.
The Annual Funding Agreement of $3,764,079 for Fiscal Year 2026 for the Branch of Corrections was approved, utilizing the current Statement of Work, with a estimated FY 2025 funding amount of $3,764,079.
The board voted to obligate the game wardens of the Fish and Game Department to abide by the Law Enforcement Personnel Policies and Procedures along with the Tribal Policies and Procedures to change the 90-day probationary period to a oneyear probationary period.
The Fort Peck Water Users Association and the Water Resources Office sponsorship for the Frazer-Wolf Point and Wiota Preliminary Investigation Funding Report was approved.
The Fort Peck Transit System Program approved the recommendation of Foxster Opco, LLC, to proceed with the purchase of Trip Master software in the amount of $48,803.
The board also approved Fort Peck Transit’s request to enter into a contact with Model 1 commercial vehicles for one ADA E3500 van at the cost of $94,949.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the Fort Peck Tribal Health Department, including the Fort Peck Tribes’ crisis line call center, and NEMHS was approved.
Phoebe Blount, Tribal Health employee, was approved to participate and provide input in the creation of behavioral health crisis training curriculum and certification for crisis responders in Montana.
The board authorized payment in the amount of $97,253.58 to Wesley Medical Staffing Inc. for professional staffing services rendered during the period from 1-1-25 to 6-15-25.
The Red Bird Woman Center was approved to obtain a credit card form Independence Bank with a credit limit of $5,000.
The board approved the contract with Wesley Medical Staffing Inc. to provide competent and qualified supplemental staffing to the tribal health department.
The board approved the classification and rate of pay for the Behavioral Health Program Development Manager at Grade 10, Step 1$55.03/hour.
The Community Services Program was approved to extend the temporary appointment to Sirr Firemoon for 30 days.
The board approved $95,733.00 for the ICWA program.
TEB is the duly elected body representing the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation and is empowered to act on behalf of the Tribes. All actions shall be adherent to provisions set forth in the 1960 Constitution and By-Laws. The next full board meeting is set for July 28.
