Wolf Point’s Peyton Summers has been selected to run in this year’s Montana Mile at the Big Sky State Games on Friday, July 18.

Summers, who competes for Dawson Community College in Glendive, is one of 12 males entered for the race. He is a past high school state champion in cross country and track.

This is the second time that Summers will run in the Montana Mile.

The field includes defending champion Carson Steckelberg of the University of Montana.

Other male runners are Glendive native Ase Ackerman, Miles City native Chase Drange, Ronan native Jackson Duffey, Kye Mcabee of Billings West High School, Austin Schellig of Joliet, Wilson Schmidt of Belgrade High School, Finn Schretenthaler of Park County High School, Laurel native Levi Taylor, Havre native Caleb Tomac and former Rocky Mountain College standout Jackson Wilson.

Female runners are Hardin’s Karis Brightwings-Pease, Cecily Eagleton of Montana State University Billings, Choteau’s Natalie Hodgskiss, former Billings West standout Ali Keith, Billings Central’s Addison Kegel, former NAIA All-American Sydney Little Light, Oregon State University’s Sage Brooks and former Montana State University Billings’ athlete Madeline Severson.
