Golfers Win Missouri River Shootout
The Wolf Point Airport Golf Course team defeated the Glasgow squad in Ryder Cup type golf action recently. Wolf Point finished with 27 points compared to Glasgow’s 25 points during the tournament held at the Sunnyside Country Club.
During best ball play of the Missouri River Shootout on June 28, Wolf Point fell behind by an 8-5 margin. Two-men teams winning matches for Wolf Point were Noel Sansaver and Dennis Loendorf, Dana Matejovsky and Chase Simmons and Marques White Horse and Landon Young.
Wolf Point bounced back to beat Glasgow by a margin of 8.5 to 4.5 in alternate shot action. Teams scoring victories for Wolf Point included Morgan Norgaard and Troy Halverson, Jared Fyfe and Young, Matejovsky and Nick Bighorn, Lee Loendorf and Griffin Ricker, Brock Copenhaver and Kaniel Ricker, Mike Boulds and Freedom Crawford, Brad Moran and Jeremiah Whitright and Neil Gelinas and Dennis Loendorf.
During head-to-head play on June 29, Wolf Point got the upper-hand by a 13.5 to 12.5 margin. Winning matches for Wolf Point were Kaniel Ricker, Whitright, Copenhaver, Moran, Taylor Harris, Rodney Paulson, Bighorn, Lee Loendorf, Griffin Ricker, Boulds, Young and Noel Sansaver.
