County DES Conducts Training In Poplar


The Roosevelt County Disaster and Emergency Services conducted a basic hazmat and decontamination training at the Poplar Middle School on May 3-4.
The training, sponsored by Roosevelt County DES, was instructed by the National Volunteer Fire Council and West Virginia University Extension program. “It was a very valuable training for the first responders,” Roosevelt County DES coordinator Lindsay McNabb said.
Agencies attending included the Bainville Volunteer Fire Department, Culbertson Volunteer Fire Department, Poplar Volunteer Fire Department, Poplar NEMHS EMS, Circle Volunteer Fire Department, Sheridan County Medical and Roosevelt County Disaster and Emergency Services.
McNabb thanks Poplar Volunteer Fire Department for helping organize the event and the Poplar Middle School for providing the location.
