Confluence Lab Planned At Fort Buford
Fort Buford State Historic Site, the Missouri Yellowstone Interpretive Center and the State Historical Society for North Dakota are hosting a Confluence Lab for youth ages 8 and above on May 24.
According to a press release, “Explore the fascinating world of fishing at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence. Learn about the history and biology of local fish species, including the mighty paddlefish. Try your luck catching a (stuffed) paddlefish and discover how people catch the real thing today! Then, dive into our creative biology activity where you’ll design your own fish out of air-dry clay. Choose special features that help it survive – big fins, sharp teeth, camouflage coloring – and learn how real fish adapt to their environments in similar ways. It’s a fun and engaging way to connect science, history, and creativity in one unique experience.”
The outdoor event will begin at 2 p.m. central time and is expected to run for approximately an hour. Fort Buford and the Missouri Yellowstone Interpretive Center are located at 15349 39th Ln NW, Williston, N.D. For more information, visit host organization social media or call 406-572-9034.
