Yellow Jackets Open Season With Victory

The Wolf Point Yellow Jackets opened their season with an 18-8 comeback victory over Malta at home on Wednesday, April 30.
The Yellow Jackets fell behind 7-1 during the opening two innings.
Oryan Burshia, a 12-yearold, then allowed just one run during his three innings on the mound.
Keyden Beston led Wolf Point’s offensive attack with three hits.
A defensive highlight for the Yellow Jackets was shortstop Reed Garfield and second baseman Evan Kawasaki turning a double play.
“It was a good team effort,” Coach Jed Loucks said. “Every kid contributed.”
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Malta on Saturday, May 10, and Froid on Sunday, May 11, for double-headers starting at 1 p.m.
