Local Squads Score At Fairview Invitational
Area track teams continued their seasons with solid performances at the Fairview Invitational on Friday, May 2.
Wolf Point’s girls’ relay teams enjoyed success at the meet. The 1600-meter relay team featuring Navella Weeks, Amirah Oleyte, Harper Weeks and Adalynn Smith took second place at 4:26.40. The 400-meter relay team of N. Weeks, AnnaLeigh Matejovsky, H. Weeks and Smith finished third at 53.42 seconds.
Smith placed fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:02.93.
Matejovsky earned fifth in the long jump at 15-1 and sixth in the triple jump at 31--7. Teagan Williams tied for sixth place in the pole vault by clearing 6-6.
In the boys’ division, Wolf Point’s Sean Hamilton placed fourth in the shot put at 40-5, fifth in the javelin at 147-8 and sixth in the discus at 119-4.
Reilly Rees finished fifth in the 3200 with a time of 12:25.67.
Lustre Christian’s Prestyn Klatt won top honors in the 1600 at 4:42.37 and 3200 at 10:56.14.
Diek Olfert placed second in the triple jump at 38-3 and fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:16.30.
Kayden Charette cleared 5-6 for third place in the high jump.
In the girls’ division, Lustre’s Sidney Klatt finished second in the 3200 at 14:18.53.
Lauryn Holzrichter took sixth in the 300-meter hurdles at 53.5 seconds.
Poplar’s Journey Gourneau finished third in the 1600 with a time of 5:59.7.
Kelbee Redstone placed sixth in the 3200 at 15:19.71.
In the boys’ division, Poplar’s Wilder Bearcub placed fifth in the 800 at 2:16.99.
Frazer’s Gabe Beston ran the 3200 in 11:27.67 to take third place for the Bearcubs. $ 20 WPCO
Leading Brockton’s girls was freshman BraeLynn De-Marrias with a fourth-place finish in the 3200 with a time of 14:33.26.
