Athletes Place at Fairview Invitational


Area track athletes ended their regular season at the Fairview Invitational on Friday, May 2.
Joseph Robertson led Froid/Lake’s boys by finishing third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:16.30. The 1600-meter relay team featuring Cody Olson, Rylan Young, Eduardo Orozco and Robertson finished fourth at 3:55.37.
Young placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 20.47 seconds. The 400-meter relay team consisting of Young, E. Orozco, Robertson and Olson took sixth at 48.41 seconds.
Leading Froid/Lake’s girls was Mara Salvevold with a fourth-place showing in the 100 at 13.57 seconds and a sixth-place finish in the 200 at 28.7 seconds.
Joelle Davidson cleared 4-4 for sixth place in the high jump. The 1600-meter relay team of Salvevold, Davidson, Jordyn Breuer and Isabelle Nordwick took fourth at 4:33.38. The 400-meter relay team featuring Keira Stentoft, Nordwick, Leah Murray and Salvevold placed sixth at 54.44 seconds.
Taking first-place for the Culbertson Cowboys was Ian Snyder as the junior cleared 5-10 in the high jump. Brooks Solem also cleared 5-10 for second place.
Culbertson’s Plenny Williams earned second place in the discus with a personal best of 142-1.
Reese Moon took second in the long jump at 18-10 and second in the 100 at 11.57. Also placing second were Solem at 45.98 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles, and the 400-meter relay team of Harrison Green, Snyder, Mauricio Mena and Moon with a time of 45.26 seconds.
Taking third were Aden Drake at 46.41 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles, Deen with a mark of 41-0 in the shot put and a throw of 152-11 in the javelin, and Snyder at 23.66 in the 200.
Placing fourth were Snyder at 11.99 in the 100 and Moon at 36-11 in the triple jump. Taking sixth were Solem at 17-9 in the long jump and Williams at 141-5 in the javelin.
Bella Petersen had a good meet for the Cowgirls with personal bests in the 100, 200 and 400. Rebekah Ellerkamp earned personal bests in the 400 and 1600.
Earning first-place honors for Bainville were Kaiden Holmes at 2:09.77 in the 800 and Hailey Berwick at 27.48 in the 200.
Placing second were Rowan Wilson at 2:11.21 in the 800, Berwick at 13.2 in the 100, Elsie Wilson at 33-8 in the triple jump and the boys’ 1600-meter relay team featuring Parker Berwick, R. Wilson, Austin Eveland and Holmes at 3:54.09.
Addison Hansen placed third in the discus at 99-1 and fourth in the shot put at 31-11. E. Wilson finished third in the 300-meter hurdles at 50.79. Holmes placed fifth in the 400 at 54.66 seconds.
