Wolf Point, Poplar and Lustre Christian all had highlights during the 43rd annual Norm Girard Top 10 track meet held in Glasgow on Tuesday, April 29.

The Wolf Point Wolves ended their night on a high note when the girls’ 1600-meter relay team finished third with a time of 4:18.77. Running the relay were Navella Weeks, Amirah Oleyte, Harper Weeks and Adalynn Smith.

Having personal bests for the Wolves at the meet were Sean Hamilton in the discus at 132-7 and Smith with a time of 1:03.09 in the 400-meter dash.

Poplar’s Kaniel Ricker earned third place in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 40-4.

Also having a personal best for the Indians was Journey Gourneau with a time of 6:06.48 in the 1600.

Lustre Christian’s Johnslee Pierre was a double winner at the meet. The junior ran a time of 16.52 in the 110-meter hurdles and 41.67 seconds in the 300-meter hurdles.

Lustre’s Prestyn Klatt ran a time of 2:06.17 in the 800 for second place.

Teams will compete at the District 2B and 3C track meets in Glasgow on Saturday, May 10.
