Bainville’s girls scored 26 points in the girls’ division and 11 in the boys’ division during the 20-team Sidney Invitational held in cold and sometimes snowy weather.

Despite strong competition, Elsie Wilson captured top honors in the long jump with a mark of 17-1.

Wilson, a senior, placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.3 and took seventh in the triple mark with a mark of 31-5.

Hailey Berwick finished third in the 200 at 27.78 seconds. She was seventh in the 200 at 13.66.

The girls’ 400-meter relay featuring Casey Myers, Wilson, Lila Butikofer and Berwick finished fifth with a time of 53.81 seconds.

Addison Hansen earned fifth-place in the shot put with a best of 31-8.

Butikofer had a personal best in the javelin at 75-6.

In the boys’ division, the Bulldogs finished first in the SMR relay, which consisted of two 200s, one 400 and one 800. The relay of Keegan Vaira, Austin Eveland, Rowan Wilson and Kaiden Holmes had a time of 4:10.04.

Rowan Wilson placed sixth in the shot put with a best of 39-5.

Having personal bests for the Bulldogs were Owen Theige in the 400, Evan Anderson in the 1600, javelin, long jump and 3200, Wilson in the 3200, Eveland in the 3200, Kaston Hofer in the discus and javelin and Holmes in the long jump.

The Bulldogs will compete at the meet in Glendive on Friday, April 25.
