Wolves Play Away Matches
Wolf Point’s tennis squad competed in Chinook on Friday, April 4, and played against Chinook and Fairfield The Wolves won four matches during the action.
“We have a very young team this year and we all got better on a cold Friday,” Wolf Point Coach Dan Horsmon said. “I’m very proud of the girls on their first away meet.”
The Wolves faced Forsyth and Baker in Glendive on Saturday, April 1. Winning singles matches in Glendive were Hailey Gray Hawk and McKinlee Paulson. Doubles teams winning matches were Lauren Rodenberg and Riley Schwarzrock, Paulson and McKinzie Rodenberg and Isabella Sanchez and Gray Hawk.
“Tennis is different than other sports because improvement happens much faster than all the other sports I have coached. So right now we’re working on getting better at the meets,” Horsmon said. “Wins are nice, but the most important part is getting better and improving before divisionals which happens quickly in tennis.”
