County Ranks 44th For Unemployment Rate

According to information from the Montana Department of Labor and Industry for November, Roosevelt County ranks 44th in the state with an unemployment level of 3.6 percent. The county’s unemployment rate is 1.2 percent higher than a year ago. There are 4,233 employed workers in the county, which is 69 less than a year ago. Roosevelt County is just ahead of Phillips County at 3.8 percent

Diekhans is currently the Lewistown city attorney and the chief deputy attorney for Fergus County. The Bureau of Land Management Montana/Dakotas State Office has opened a 30day public scoping period to receive public input on 26 oil and gas parcels totaling 5,053 acres that may be included in a July 2024 lease sale in Montana and North Dakota. The comment period ends Jan. 29. The parcels the BLM is analyzing, as well as maps and instructions on how to comment are available on the BLM’s ePlanning
