Poll Finds Support For New BLM Oil, Gas Rules In State

A poll commissioned by the Montana Wildlife Federation in July and released this week found broad support for parts of a Bureau of Land Management oil and gas rule released earlier this year that Montana’s Republican federal delegation is seeking to block from taking effect. The poll was conducted by Republican-leaning firm New Bridge Strategy July 15-21 and surveyed 500 registered Montana voters

Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 101 calls from Aug. 19-25. The calls included the following: Aug. 19 Deputies responded to Poplar’s city limits for a report of a stolen purse. The incident is under investigation. Deputies received a report of several juveniles being assaulted in Brockton. Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice and ambulance
