Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 101 calls from Dec. 2-9.
The calls included the following: Dec. 2
Deputies performed a welfare check in Wolf Point. An adult was concerned that a child was staying in a camper that didn’t have any heat. Deputies didn’t find the child, but notified state authorities.
Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department and Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice regarding a report of assault within the city limits. A juvenile was arrested for partner/family member assault.
Deputies assisted the Montana Highway Patrol in the pursuit of a male and female. Deputies were able to detain the female.
Dec. 4
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic situation. An adult male said his girlfriend had hit him. He had injuries including bleeding from his forehead. Dondolle Black Thunder, 33, was transported to tribal adult jail for a partner/family member assault charge.
An adult female reported a home invasion. She said men broke into her house. An investigation is continuing.
Dec. 5
Deputies responded to the Culbertson hospital regarding a report of a possible assault. An adult female came in with injuries. An investigation is continuing.
Dec. 6
Deputies responded to the Poplar airport addition for a disturbance. A female said she wanted her boyfriend removed. He fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic situation regarding a fight between an adult male and adult female. Family members claimed that the male and female assaulted them and then left. Slade Kirn, 20, and Denya Lizotte, 19, returned and were arrested for assault and disorderly conduct.
Dec. 7
Deputies assisted the Montana Highway Patrol with a call on U.S. Highway 2 near Culbertson for a semi-truck and car crash. The Culbertson Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ in Wolf Point for a report of a missing adult. The man was found driving on the west end and he was escorted home.
Dec. 8
Deputies received a report of a drunk driver on Main Street in Wolf Point. The driver couldn’t be located.
