Red Hawks Stop Plevna

The Froid/Lake football squad got back on the winning track with a 30-6 home victory over Plevna on Saturday, Sept. 14.

The Red Hawks gained a 6-0 advantage in the first quarter when Rylan Young connected with Teegan Fossum for a 13-yard touchdown pass.

Froid/Lake increased its lead to 22-0 with a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter.

Eddie Orozco broke loose for a 47-yard dash for the first touchdown of the period.

The Red Hawks’ next score came on a 30-yard interception return by Young.

A 50-yard pass play from Young to Joseph Robertson put the Red Hawks ahead 30-6 in the third quarter.

The Red Hawks will have their homecoming football at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, against Jordan.
