Gas Prices In State Dip During Week
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 2.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.51/g on Monday, Aug. 5, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 3.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 43.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.3 cents in the last week and stands at $3.76 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.26/g on Sunday, Aug. 4, while the most expensive was $4.29/g, a difference of $1.03/g.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.44/g on Monday. The national average is down 5.6 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 37.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
