Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 78 calls from June 10-17.
The incidents included the following: June 10
A deputy received notification at 10:40 a.m. that an explosion occurred at Clean Solutions near Bainville. Multiple EMS and fire departments were already at the scene when the deputy arrived. An injured employee was driven by other employees to a Williston, N.D., hospital for treatment. Law enforcement surrounded the area because of the potential of another explosion. Law enforcement remained on the scene throughout the afternoon while fire departments managed the scene.
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of a minor being assaulted by an adult. A female adult was placed under arrest and transported to the hospital. Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice assisted with the call. Betty Cantrell, 31, was charged with abuse of a child and violation of probation conditions.
Near midnight, deputies responded to Wolf Point’s west end housing for a report of an assault. A male suffered injuries to his face. The male said he was attacked for no reason by an adult male relative. Law enforcement submitted the report to the tribal prosecutor to issue a warrant.
June 11
Deputies responded to Fort Kipp for a report of a fight between two sisters. FPTDLJ also responded. One of the sisters suffered injuries and was taken to the Poplar hospital. The report was submitted to the tribal prosecutor.
June 14
Deputies received a report of possible drug use in the restroom of the Culbertson rest stop/scales. Deputies didn’t find any suspects upon their arrival.
June 15
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ with a report of two missing juveniles at 10:40 p.m. Law enforcement patrolled the river bottom areas near Wolf Point. The two juvenile boys were located safe at a Wolf Point residence at about 4 a.m.
June 17
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to Fort Kipp for a domestic dispute.
