Chamber Making Plans For Busy Summer
The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture keeps working on the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede, which is scheduled for July 11-13.
Because of a scheduling conflict, the carnival company that normally comes to Wolf Point isn’t available this year. Chamber officials have been able to secure a different carnival for the Stampede crowd.
Chamber officials are pleased that Northeast Montana Health Services will again sponsor the Human Stampede on July 13. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. The 5K run starts at 9 a.m. The one-mile event starts at 9:30 a.m.
Fliers have been sent out to past vendors and potential vendors for the Art in the Park event on July 13.
A clean-up day for the arena’s concession stand has been set for June 27.
Theme for this year’s parade is “Montana Roots and Cowboys Boots.”
In order to address excess water in the arena’s parking lot, the chamber is paying to add two 16,000-gallon tanks.
The chamber has been successful in obtaining an Economic Impact and Destination Event Grant for $23,200.
Jayden Diener has been hired to serve as the chamber’s new executive director.
Chamber director Jerald Petersen is now handling all the organization’s accounting duties.
