Wolf Point Competes At Home Track Meet
The Wolf Point track team accounted for a solid effort during the Gene Nelson Memorial Invitational on Friday, May 3.
Wolf Point’s boys tallied 46.5 points for sixth place in the team standings. The top three squads were Glasgow with 91.5 points, Plentywood with 71 and Lustre Christian with 59 points.
The Lady Wolves scored 14 points for ninth place. Scobey topped the field with 139 points. Glasgow was second with 98 and Plentywood took third with 64 points.
Wolf Point’s Charles Page earned first-place honors in the shot put with a mark of 44-7.
Peyton Summers ran to victories in the 800 at 2:04.81 and 1600 at 4:35.38.
Maddox Reum finished third in the 200 with a time of 24.6 seconds and fourth in the 100 at 12.21 seconds.
Tavian Bell cleared 8-0 for third place in the pole vault.
Wolf Point’s 400-meter relay team featuring Reum, Preston Swenson, Seth Landsrud and Bell placed sixth with a time of 47.78 seconds.
In the girls’ division, Adalynn Smith finished second in the 400 with a time of 1:06.82.
Amaya Martinez took fourth in the discus with a best of 90-10 in the discus.
The girls’ 400-meter relay team featuring Kylie Rodenberg, Navella Weeks, Harper Weeks and Smith placed fifth at 56.92 seconds.
Other highlights for the Wolves included Marley Moran taking seventh in the shot put, Ali Corpron taking eighth in the discus, Page in seventh for the discus, Martinez taking eighth in the shot put, Harper Weeks in ninth for the 300-meter hurdles, Smith in ninth for the 100 and N. Weeks in ninth for the 200.
