Apply Now For Summer High School Fellowships

Every year, Forward Montana hosts a fellowship for high school aged students. Forward Montana is looking to build a cohort of 10 students from all across the state to take part in the fellowship program. This fellowship will take place in-person, in the form of a civics camp in Lubrecht Forest from July 9-12, with some opportunities for leadership building and field work within the fellows’ respective communities following the camp.

Additionally, fellows will receive a $500 stipend to offset the cost of attending.

They are looking for high school-aged students who are self-reliant, excited about democracy, passionate about making positive change in their community and are looking to become a civic leader. Think of a fun and engaging civics crash-course without the fluorescent classroom lighting and less screen time. Fellows will have the opportunity to use part of their summer break to learn about civic engagement as it relates to their own community interests and grow a statewide network of young people to fuel future power-building efforts among Montana youth in their own backyard.

Applications close June 14. For more information and to apply, visit forwardmontana. org/workwithus If you have any questions, contact Sylvia, Forward Montana’s civic education organizer, at or 406-542-8683.
