Lilley Signs With Dawson Community College
Poplar High School’s basketball standout Delray Lilley has signed a letter of intent to play the sport at Dawson Community College in Glendive.
Lilley is a two-time Class B All-State selection. He went over the 1,000 point career scoring mark during his senior year.
“It’s a good program that develops players,” Lilley said of playing at DCC. “It’s a winning program.’
Lilley led the Indians with 24 points in their opening- round victory over Lodge Grass at the Class B state tournament.
He fired in six three-pointers and finished with 29 points in Poplar’s semi-final round win over Glasgow at the divisional tournament.
Dawson Community College defeated Miles Community College, 91-69, in the semi-final round of the Region XIII tournament this year.
The Buccaneers lost to the North Dakota State College of Science, 90-70, in the championship game.
Dawson Community College finished the season with a 25-7 record.
