Teams Win Titles During Spring Hoopfest In Wolf Point

Wolf Point’s schools were busy with basketball teams from throughout the area competing in the Spring Hoopfest on Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30.

The Red Hawks from eastern Roosevelt County earned first in the girls’ seventh- eighth grade division. The Red Hawks defeated Circle, 27-16, in the title contest.

In the seventh-eighth grade boys’ division, Glasgow outscored Havre, 70-46, in the championship game. The Belknap Beasts edged the Gators, 58-50, in the third-place game.

The Belknap Ballers took first in the girls’ sixth-grade division with a 3-0 record. The Wolves of Wolf Point placed second with a 2-1 mark. Poplar’s Treasure State took third.

The Big Sky Ballerz downed the Underdogs, 7925, for the title in the sixthgrade boys’ division. The Big Sky Warriors defeated Circle, 45-32, for third place.

In the fifth-grade girls’ division, The Scobey Silverstars knocked off Malta Swish, 3021, for the title. The Wolves beat the 406 Ballers, 31-29, for third place.

Circle defeated Skillz & Drillz, 56-16, for first place in the boys’ fifth-grade division.

North of Nowhere, Circle and the Lions each 2-1 records in the girls’ third-grade division.

Hi-Line Hustle of Glasgow posted a 2-0 record for thirdgrade boys.
