Artis Robinson

Artis R. “Chic” Robinson, 74 of Wolf Point died Feb. 16, 2024, in Billings.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1949, in Poplar to Art St. Germaine Sr. and Elizabeth Cantrell. She attended school at Immaculate Conception and then went onto Wolf Point High School.

She attended all branches of Beauty Culture in Oklahoma City, Okla., in 1970. Then returning from Oklahoma, she moved to Glasgow where she met Garry. They married in Glasgow on Oct. 3, 1972. She had five children, Michael, Gator, Phoebe, Garrick Sr. and Chance.

She worked at Wood’s Powr-Grip for many years, then moved onto Looking Eagle Manufacturing Co., Trinity Hospital, Stockman’s Bar, she managed the Waterhole and was also a waitress at various cafes.

She enjoyed playing pool “leagues” with family and friends. She truly enjoyed paying wist and cribbage.

She enjoyed the company at the kitchen table, drinking coffee or just visiting.

She was a devoted Greenbay Packers fan. She enjoyed reading and crosswords, popcorn with lots of butter, Old Dutch chips and soups.

She is survived by daughter, Phoebe Robinson of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Garrick Robinson of Wolf Point and Chance of Wolf Point; siblings, Debra Hamilton of Wolf Point, Teresa St. Germaine and Paulette St. Germaine of Wolf Point, Arthur R. St. Germaine Jr. and Veronica of Great Falls; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry Robinson Sr.; sons, Michael and Gator; and siblings, Roger St. Germaine and Carolyn Sue St. Germaine.

Her memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery.
