Lustre’s Girls Post Victory At Divisional Basketball Tournament

A 28-point performance by Alexa Reddig led the Lustre Lions to a 67-50 win over Savage during action at the Eastern C divisional basketball tournament in Glasgow on Friday, March 1.

The Lions exploded for 23 points in the first quarter to gain a 23-9 advantage.

Lustre added 18 more points in the second period for a 41-20 half-time lead.

Savage struck for the first eight points, including four by Karley McPherson, of the third quarter to pull to 41-28.

Reddig, who has signed to play basketball at North Central University in Minnesota, then hit a 15-footer for the Lions.

Lustre went on to hold a 55-37 at the end of the third quarter.

Aubri Holzrichter finished with 15 points for the Lions. Kencia Brown and Grace Brown added 10 points each.

Also scoring for Lustre were Hannah Brown and Lauryn Holzrichter with two points each.

Leading Savage were McPherson with 19 and Miley Pilgeram with 14 points.
