Olson Wins League Titles

Wolf Point native Jewel Olson ran to two individual conference championships during the North Star Athletic Association’s indoor track meet on Sunday, Feb. 18.

Olson, a junior at Dickinson State University, finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.63 seconds and first in the 400 with a time of 58.86 seconds. She was also a member of the winning 1600-meter relay team.

It was the sixth consecutive title for the Blue Hawks.

Circle native Shayne Wittkopp was selected the North Star Women’s Coach of the Year.

Hinsdale native Kaitlyn McColly won the honor as the conference’s field and overall most valuable athlete.
