Bulldogs Open With Victory Over Brockton

 

The Bainville Bulldogs outscored Brockton by a 61-30 margin in the fourth quarter to earn a first-round victory at the District 2C girls’ basketball tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 13.

The Bulldogs accounted for the game’s first seven points and held a 22-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Bainville led 33-16 at the half and 42-28 after three quarters of play.

Scoring in double figures for the Bulldogs were Elsie Wilson with 15, Hailey Berwick with 13 and Miah Pippenger with 10 points.

Also scoring were Tally Berwick with seven, Brecklyn Pippenger with six, Addison Hansen with five, Chandi Johnson with three and Kaelyn Romo with two points.

B. Pippenger grabbed nine rebounds. H. Berwick had four steals and Wilson finished with four assists.

Tamryn Bauer led the Warriors with 19 points including two three-pointers. Also scoring were Ava LoneBear with six, Kay Jay First That Walks with three and Marlene Fish with two points.
