Auditions Scheduled For Children’s Theatre

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Treasure Island on Monday, March 11, at the Culbertson Old Armory from 2:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Those auditioning should arrive at 2:30 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Jim Hawkins, his mother and sisters, a rollicking Pirate Crew, Jim’s Ruffian friends, seacoast Mariners, shining Treasures, a mysterious Stranger and cuddly Gulls.

Students, in grades kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 2:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. each day.

Treasure Island will be presented on Friday, March 15, at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., at the Culbertson Old Armory.
