Bearcubs Fall Against Circle Teams

 

Circle’s girls’ basketball team was able to break away in the second half to defeat Frazer, 59-29, on Thursday, Feb. 8.

The Bearcubs played tough in the first half as they trailed only 10-8 at the end of the first quarter and 21-20 at the half.

Circle then scored 18 points in the third quarter for a 39-27 advantage. The Wildcats outscored Frazer, 20-2, in the fourth period.

Angeline White led the Bearcubs with 12 points. Also scoring were Baily Beston with six, Shakira Beston with five, Maci Fourstar-Sibley with four and Kassidy Hentges with two points.

Madeline Moline accounted for 23 of Circle’s points. Emma Murphy added eight points.

In the boys’ game, Circle posted a 74-32 victory.

Ahead 13-10 at the end of the first quarter, the Wildcats ran off 30 points in the second quarter for a 43-14 lead.

Leading the Bearcubs were Ty Fourstar and Travis Long with eight points each. Also scoring were Gabriel Beston with six, Joseph Beston with four, Christopher Fox with three and Zayden Hentges with two.

Reaching double figures for Circle were Kash Ereaux with 13, Donovan Gibbs with 12 and Tripp Wahl with 11 points.
