Adams Wins Glasgow Ice Fishing Derby
The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture held the 26th annual Ice Fishing Derby Feb. 3.
Trevor Adams of Nashua won the first-place prize or $2,000. Adams caught a 6.76 pound northern at 1:30 P.M.
Second place, with a prize of $600, went to Wes Phillips, of Opheim. He caught a 5.46 pound northern caught at 2:06 p.m. Third place and $300 went to Colton Danielson from Plentywood, with a .32 pound rainbow trout caught at 12:38 p.m.
Fourth place and $100 went to Dave Nordella from Livingston, with a .3 pound rainbow trout caught at 12:33 p.m. He was tied by Larry Branson from Wolf Point, but Nordella caught his fish earlier in the day.
The smallest fish award of $50 in chamber big bucks went to Jeff Yoss and Teagen Overcast with a .06 pound rainbow trout.
Derby organizers sold 134 holes with 71 participants. A total of 68 fish were brought to the weigh master during, but many more were caught.
