Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball squad fell behind early and lost at home against Glasgow by a 63-38 final on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The three-point shooting of Myles Yoakam led Glasgow to a 9-4 lead in the opening quarter, but Wolf Point’s Lennoxx Lilley then scored off a great behind-the-back pass from Jack Kolstad to excite the hometown fans.

Sean Hamilton hit a three-pointer to cut the margin to 13-9, but Yoakam then fired in another three-pointer for a 16-9 lead at the end of the period.

Six straight points by Wyatt Babb increased Glasgow’s advantage to 29-15 midway into the second period. Five points by 6-6 freshman Cade Hydyma put the Scotties up 36-16.

The Wolves ended the half on a good note when Peyton Summers connected on a three-pointer to close the margin to 36-19 at intermission.

Glasgow held a 53-26 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

Down by a 55-28 margin, the Wolves kept battling with points by Summer and 6-4 sophomore Da’Shaun Jackson highlighting play.

Behind by a 63-34 score, Wolf Point accounted for the final four points on drives by Kolstad and Summers.

Top scorers for Wolf Point were Summers with 17 and Lilley with nine points. Also scoring were Hamilton with four, Kolstad with four, Cade Stafne with two and Jackson with two.

Leading the Scotties were Yoakam with 22, Hudyma with 19 and Babb with 13 points.
