County Cupboard Shares Year-End Donations

Ashlee Anderson told the

Community News that the County Cupboard handed out 50 bags of food at a distribution day Jan. 23 thanks to some year end donations.

“We had year end giving,” she said. “including $5,500 from grants I had applied for.”

The County Cupboard is a non-profit organization focused on ending hunger in Roosevelt County. Anderson said the group is focusing on additional sources of grant funding.

“I’ve been working on one big grant for $30,000, but I won’t know about that one until April,” she said.

In the meantime, distribution days are planned for Feb. 13 and 27, thanks to additional donations and foundation support. “My plan for now is to run it until we run out of money.”
