Wolf Point High School Speech and Drama coach Jacob Boysun led his team to a second place finish in the Class C Sweepstakes at divisionals Jan. 19. The competition was held at Culbertson High School. “It was a tough meet today at divisionals with great competition,” Boysun relayed via social media. “Unfortunately we can only bring the top six in each event to state but everyone performed well.”

Wolf Pointers Quiarrah Rios and Del Eymard took 3rd In Dramatic Theater. Jayla Big Talk placed 8th in Humorous Solo. Ryelei Bauer and Kevin Brock placed 8th in Humorous Theatre and Cole Boysun and Elliauna Ryan placed 2nd in the same event.

Ryan Schumacher and Chase Adams took 1st place in Humorous Theatre. Ryver Summers placed 3rd in Impromptu and Audrey Weinberger took 4th in SPOI. Francis Goodtrack placed 7th in DOI.

“I’d like to applaud Reilly Rees, Maya Deserly, Avalon Christian Adams and Dante Dionne Granbois for an excellent season,” Boysun said. “Everyone on this team has a great future ahead of them.”

The Frazer Bearcubs saw Kalianna Blount placing 5th in Mime and Marick Old Person placing 6th in SPOI, with De’mon Grandchamp placed 7th in the event.

Qualifying participants will be traveling to Choteau to take part in the State tournament on Jan. 26-27.
