Cullbertson Drops Contests In Plentywood
Culbertson dropped both contests during basketball action in Plentywood on Saturday, Jan. 20. The Cowgirls fell by a 4222 margin.
Culbertson led 8-7 at the end of the first quarter, but Plentywood moved ahead 20-13 at the half and 32-17 after three quarters of play.
Destiny Thompson finished with 11 points including three three-pointers.
Also scoring for Culbertson were Leandra Perkins with six, Ayden Ator with three and Emma Berwick with two points.
Top scorers for Plentywood were Mallory Tommerup with 13, Paityn Curtiss with 11 and April McCabe with 11 points.
In the boys’ game, Plentywood posted a 67-32 victory.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 42-10 at the half.
Gavin Deen led the Cowboys with 11 points. Also scoring were Bridger Salvevold with seven, Donte Eagle Boy with six, Plenny Williams with three, Dawson Bergum with three and Ian Snyder with two.
The Cowboys will host Fairview on Thursday, Jan. 25, travel to Froid/Lake on Friday, Jan. 26, and host MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 27.
