Senior Cian Logan leads in many different fronts at Froid High School.

Logan’s roles include serving as the chapter president for FFA, being a state officer for BPA and a standout for Froid/Lake’s football squad.

His involvement in FFA includes floriculture, ag business management, entrepreneur skills and food science.

He says floriculture is his favorite competition. “It brings out the green side of me,” Logan said. “It’s relaxing to me. I love plants.”

Logan recently fared well at the BPA regional conference. He enjoys the categories most where he can develop his public speaking skills.

On the gridiron, it was announced last week that Logan was a selection for the six-man all-star football game to be played this summer.

“I’m pretty excited about it,” Logan said of the game. “I’m just going to go all out. It’s going to be my last game ever.”

The well-rounded student has also earned honors in both speech and music.

He has placed in original oratory for every speech and drama meet this season. He has already qualified for the state meet in the event. Logan’s goal for this weekend’s divisional meet is placing in the top two.

His presentation deals with why the United States should lower its legal alcohol drinking age to 18 years of age. “We should be like most countries,” Logan said.

In music, Logan plays the baritone saxophone for Froid’s concert and pep bands. He has been involved in music since the fifth grade.

He earned the highest marks for both his solo and ensemble at last year’s music festival.

Logan, who transferred from Bainville to Froid in the seventh grade, says his favorite classes are either business or on-line offerings.

His favorite teacher is Michael Reiter. “He’s always there for the students no matter what,” Logan said.

After high school, Logan plans to attend Minnesota State University- Moorhead and study business administration and management. His career plans are going into sales or business secondary education.
