Cowboys Lose Close Game Against Savage, 42-36

The Culbertson Cowboys came up short against Savage, 42-36, at home on Friday, Jan. 5.

Savage took a 12-6 advantage in the first quarter and held a 16-12 half-time lead.

The Warriors entered the third quarter with a 29-25 advantage.

Baskets by Bridger Salvevold and Nyreece Halvorson helped Culbertson pull as close as three points during the contest’s final minute.

Salvevold led the Cowboys with 15 points. Donte Eagle Boy and Dawson Bergum added nine points each.

Also scoring were Halvorson with two and Gavin Deen with one point.

Leading Savage were Connor Lyons with 12 and Sayer Erickson with 11 points. Zane Pilgeram added seven points.

The Cowboys will travel to Bainville on Friday, Jan 12, and host MonDak on Saturday, Jan. 13.
