Gas Prices Drop By 6.4 Cents

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 6.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.13/gallon on Monday, Dec. 4, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana.

Prices in Montana are 44.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 27.6 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 4.7 cents in the last week and stands at $4.18 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.99/gallon on Sunday, Dec. 3, while the most expensive was $3.29/gallon, a difference of 30.0 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 0.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.21/g Monday, Dec. 4. The national average is down 18.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 14.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
