Indians Place At Glendive Invitational
Poplar’s cross-country team came away with fifthplace honors in the boys’ division at the very competitive Glendive Invitational on Friday, Sept. 7.
Miles City topped the standings with 37 points. Glendive placed second with 76 points. The Indians earned fifth with 91 points.
Leading Poplar was Miles Boxer in 13th place with a time of 18:34.4.
Poplar’s Eljin Grey Bear took 17th place at 19:06.9. Geordy Medicine Cloud placed 18th at 19:24.2.
Bostyn Azure, a freshman, earned 22nd place at 19:53.6. Dane Moran took 34th place at 21:49.2.
In the girls’ division, the Indians were sixth with 131 points. The top two teams were Williston, N.D., with 26 points and Miles City with 67 points.
Poplar’s Blake Follette took 18th place at 22:05.9. Kacie Colgan finished 24th at 22:50.6.
Mattie Falls Down was 27th at 23:27.1. Caidryn Archambault took 33rd at 24:32.4.
Alara Parshall placed 36th at 25:08.9. Amelia Weeks finished 47th at 28:15.5.
